Not every train has a baby's changing table, but most of them do. Best bet is usually the accessible bathroom.

High speed rail is a great thing! If only they wouldn't waste the time gained to silly things instead (like the anti-correlated schedule, embarquement or the seat-reservation-slavery).

We made the beginner's mistake to check for bus timetables...but this here appears to be the only bus lane within a 2 min drive (37 min with traffic).

Italian stereotypes anyone? The footrest is, even when folded up, in the middle of the legroom for tall people. It scratches on the shin.

Arrived on time, would have had plenty of time to make our connection of 15 min. But No. This was not bookable, only the one with 75 min layover. And thanks to the mandatory reservations, you can't just hop on the earlier train. Spain, wanna work on this or invest another billion on a new high speed line? Both saves one hour. Choose wisely.

Stop being so logical and Swiss. Be grateful you got a seat! (Or mutter something about national pride in being Europe’s longest high speed network)

@jon
The train to Toledo was only filled to like 50%, but don't tell anyone or they will cut it down to two trains a day so they can brag about a 0.99 seat load factor...

Jon Worth reshared this.

Let me get this straight. High speed rail is a great thing.

For more than 30 degreeasons we took the bus for two stops. Tickets available at the driver. But no card payment (in a country where you casually pay by card at the bakery) and no big bills (like 50€) either. So we had no way to pay. Someone beeped his pass for us. Thank you so much, stranger! We will pass it on.

How to do it anti-effective:
1. Annonce the train track only 4 min before departure
2. Have only one stairs (plus elevator) to access the platform.
3. Place the train away from that access.
4. Close off half of the (already narrow) platform.
5. Check tickets on the platform.
6. Have passengers finally get on.
7. Leave with a 10 min delay

After a 2:40 h long ride with 35 stops of usually not even a minute - arrived on time. No seat reservations needed. Trains run every hour at the same minute. Hey #renfe, if you wanna learn how to run a railway in Spain, look at #Euskotren, for example.
