What utter bollocks. I have a mouse I've used for more years than I can recall and unless they passed out USB there's no reason it shouldn't carry on.

The last thing I need is subscription software updates

Its a fudging device with a couple of buttons, a wheel and an optical sensor, why would you need updatable software when current os drivers can take care of the task fine! FFS! Down with capitalism and greedy bastards.

Not a forever mouse but a forever pay for the mouse.
I'll stick with my already paid for Logitech mouse. They do make decent mice and keyboards
