@Akki I'm risking being controversial here, but I think, for me, waiting for the divine is the problem here; not the deferring to the divine.

In the same way you can't love someone else until you love yourself, the divine isn't temporal, it's not like Green Shield stamps, it's something that has to be nurtured and grown and lived in the moment.

It's this daft idea that life's a kind of mortgage where you make monthly payments of misery to be rewarded by a guy on a cloud when you're dead -- miserable is bad because I get minus-two miserable when I am dead.

It's the usual stupidity of utilitarianism: I am unhappy yet this is right, so there must be an "extra term" in the world's equation to make that good: Heaven Stamps.

Resisting only makes sense if it is rewarded in the divine-eternal-now.

(But often, just do the thing like the video says)
