The length of the duck is irrelevant. The length of the egg is determined by how long the duck spends laying said egg.

Most ducks are lazy fucks, and give up right after they start. The long egg was produced by a very dedicated fellow.

according to this diagram I think it's an eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeegg or an egggggggggggggggggggg
a meme of eggs. a whole egg is described as a yolk and the egg white. Therefore an "e" is just the egg white, wilst the "gg" is the yolk. The meme is different ways of combining the two, so a "ggegg" is two yolks and an egg white

Possibly related to The Long Earth? Given the absurdity of this object, I think it's entirely possible Terry Pratchett was involved in the creation of this too.

in prehistoric times, when passengers were offered food while flying, tube eggs were on all sandwiches. Boiled in a rotating cylinder and the purpose is to make everyone get the middle slice of an egg. A great step for humanity.
