If you can get swans to trust you enough, usually through food-based bribery, they will let you stroke their necks. They are wonderfully soft and stroky.

I have no idea if the swan body language I’ve been trying (neck bobs to greet) works. But they’re a pretty chilled out bunch of magnificent birds.
A mute swan stands on a grassy bank while other swans swim in the river to its side. It is looking hungrily at the remnants of my bread.

@Sion [tech/gaming] I have no idea and almost don’t want to to there. Anyway arguably swans use their arse for neck wiping.
