Severance: I want to love it, but I can't help thinking they're doing the Lost and BSG(2004) thing of "jerk the viewer around because we didn't actually think beyond the elevator pitch" thing.
I guess I'm the opposite, I've mostly just enjoyed the vibes, cinematography, acting etc., and the more the mystery plot is revealed, the more it threatens to become Just Another Show for me.
I got the jerk-around impression right from the pilot episode of Lost (and even GoT), whereas here I've always been happy to just float in the mood, to the extent that I've been incurious about the bigger picture.
