ADHD subreddits be full of questions like, “what can I do to better handle $X?”, where the answer is always, “amphetamine” (or methylphenidate. Whatever).
thanks. Me too but I'm not holding my breath. I have this theory that ADHD is not actually a disorder. It's a normal human reaction to an abnormal world. The civilization that humans have invented doesn't really meet the needs of those who live in it.
you wake up in your cave when the sun comes up. You go outside and hunt and gather. When the Sun starts going down you go back to your cave. Repeat. This is what we evolved to do.
@McCrankyface I mean, I don't. I wake up and I start fiddling with rocks until the other cave people start throwing them at me. Then I go and try and hunt and gather, fall into a few thorn bushes, get painfully profoundly bored, and then eaten by a goddam smilodon that I should have seen coming from a mile away but didn't.

in reply to McCrankyface • •@McCrankyface I am struggling to imagine a world in which the way my brain works isn't fucked, to be honest.
I hate it and would like it to go away.
