Huh. So side effect that's evidently known, but I wasn't warned about: Lisdex can have an impact on Libido (possibly positive or negative). Yeah. Side effects *do* include... that. A positive impact, to be precise.
@ajlanes What effect has sent you running? Apart from food revulsion (which I haven't experienced), and alcohol contraindication (which I barely drink anyway), I'm not sure I've seen any negatives.
@SaraMG π³οΈβπ Many people describe the drugs bringing a sense of calmness and focus in their brain and how their lives become so much more orderly and the idea of my brain changing in that way is very unsettling. I like being scatterbrained and multi focal; I think itβs what makes me good at what I do. But therapists etc are so determined drugs would be good for me.
@ajlanes I can't speak for others; or even all that definitively for me (it's been like, a week and a half on a low dose), but he's what I can say:
* Multi focus is still available, it's just easier to *chose* single focus when desired, or track multi-focus when task switching
* Calm has mostly come from lower stress, not from a "be calm now!" mandate. Had an emotionally charged conversation with $wife, and still had tears for it, I just wasn't overwhelmed like I'd normally be.
@SaraMG π³οΈβπ Thanks. I think I probably will ultimately get round to getting diagnosed and medicated and probably will find it beneficial. But I think I still have a lot of therapy work to do to get my brain into a state where Iβm happy to accept that.
@ajlanes I know exactly where you are coming from. Bouncing around madly between multiple projects is my super power. Yes I may be more focused if I had help but I wouldnβt be me.
