I know it’s late but I need to write this down before I forget it.
So here’s a nice rule to live by: I aim to always extend at least as grace to (presumed) neurotypical people as I perceive them to be extending to me, and to work at least as hard to negotiate the double empathy problem as I perceive them to be working.
This seems to me to be more than reasonable, patient, and tolerant.
I’m sure they would agree.
(Which must be true because very learned types have said that people like me don’t understand sarcasm, nor subtext, and they are obviously right)
