@ajlanes @Cassandra That was in Tucson, and was a patch of grass outside a McDonalds IIRC. Presumably much cheaper than the water would have been.

@ajlanes @Cassandra There are a load of golf courses in Tucson too - though I believe they're required to water them with some variety of waste water at least.

The view of the suburbs coming in to land made me despair of there being any future for humanity.

@jugglerchris @Cassandra US suburbia is mad. It’s practically designed to make people live so far from each other and anything else that they can only be dependent on cars.
