Trans people are used to moderation screwing us over on social media for two decades or more if we we don’t tiptoe around the sensibilities of cisgender-centric moderation policies that routinely result in any expression of our frustration (and being trans in this society can get exceptionally frustrating).
I therefore offer my deepest sympathies to cis people in the fediverse suddenly experiencing being on the losing end of this. Not sarcasm. It sucks and I empathise with the frustration you feel.

Memories of admining trans groups on FB and, before that, LJ, where we had to censor stuff we agreed with to avoid getting shut down.
And then got attacked by our own community for trying to make the least bad choice.
So really, I sympathise, but there’s also a little bit of me, of which I am not proud, that feels a little bit of satisfaction at what could either be described as rebalancing, or less charitably, karma.
You’re in our house now. Put the fucking toilet seat down, please.

in reply to AnCuRuadh ΔΘ • •@AnCuRuadh (0 of 1) well, I’m human, I’ve had a nervous breakdown myself because of transphobic harassment in the past, and I guess I empathise a little bit because I remember how utterly grindingly shit it was.
My hope would be that cis people generally take this as a learning experience and have a sudden realisation that this is how they have been treating us for all this time.
But, of course, they won’t. Meanwhile, a lot of trans people will also get turfed off (no pun intended) that instance.
