Watching people with ADHD get therapists telling them to do things they’re literally neurologically incapable of doing reminds me why I insisted mine takes ADHD meds. So much therapy just gaslights us.
I think it's important to remember that therapists are not psychologists. They are there to help you but they can't really help with clinical conditions. Those require a different level of help that therapy alone isn't equipped to provide.
It isn't intentional gaslighting; it more like asking a landscaper to do an electrician's job.
