Been meaning to climb up on the hill overlooking the Arade bridge at sunset for some time. Needed the right tide and light and a round tuit.

Got all of them. Two of these are from the Fuji XE4, one is from the iPhone 16 pro

hawaiianeye797 (Craig F) reshared this.

@Snowgaze ❄️ it’s a lovely bridge in a great setting. I fear however that the best place to photograph it from may be spicy and forbidden. maps.app.goo.gl/dSXfebzGECwgPH…

@Snowgaze ❄️ (actually, if you pan left from the bridge on that, about midway between the two bridges was where I was standing)

@Snowgaze ❄️ So I was standing (if the link works) exactly here: maps.app.goo.gl/8U1d1wg2ybSsJY…

And on the road near the little house for the lower down view. I agree it’s very photogenic too.

One day I’ll do a similar capture for the Guadiana bridge, but right now that involves having to drive past far too many photos of bloody Ventura with his whole “graças a mim não há portagens” stuff.

@Snowgaze ❄️ seen the one near the Forum Algarve roundabout in Faro? It’s got a Hitler moustache on it.

Fairly certain I know the answer, but do you mind sharing which were the Fuji and which was the iPhone?
in reply to Tammy Gentzel

@Tammy Gentzel The closeup is the iPhone.

Uploading them to fedi has compressed the hell out of them. I took a load more (all raw mode) too, and on the big monitor the difference is very clear.

The phone is good, but it’s good for a phone. It can’t compete with big glass in front of a big sensor.

It’s also annoyingly prone to lens flare.

Tags like #photo, #mywork or #myphoto, among others, because I primarily like what people share about themselves. But I follow other tags too, of course.
There's a link, somewhere about tags/interests, I think it's on the left part of the Time-line...

A Happy year to you!
