I had a Sparcstation2 (afaik) and I ran Debian 2.1 on it. With 64MB RAM it worked, but it was also quite loud because of the 2x261MB-SCSI-HDDs.

nice device. I have a bunch of SPARCstation 2, SPARCstation 10 and never UltraSparcs in my basement. Very interesting devices ....

That was the advantage of the various Suns, either ten times the power at the same price on Motorola, or later 100 times the power at ten times the price on SPARC.
I had a Sun 3/60 for years
