I understand there are those of the opinion that trans people “don’t help ourselves” with public displays of anger about the way we are treated.

So I have a question to those who believe this. If we go and sit quietly and stop making a fuss, what exactly are you going to do differently as a result? What is it you’re going to do to make this worth our while, that will improve our lot? Something concrete?

Yeah. Thought so.

I don't condone violence to any degree, but when someone tried bullying me at school and I decked them, it soon stopped. The kids that meekly took it got it until the day they left. The reason I got into the decking situation was because I said to a bullied kid I was going to do something about it, and he went running off to the bully and grassed on me! (I'm sure we know of trans people who do similar in the hope of appeasing their bullies).
