@ajlanes @goatsarah @dave Well this is pleasing. I think Friendica sounds worth a try.

Next question is whether I set up a separate account for that or try to move this account to it. Any thoughts on that?

But I should note that I’m literally reading your post and replying to it from my Friendica server.

I'm looking myself.

I tried Friendica and it just felt clunky. There's no way I'd persuade even a fraction of my friends to join, and so many local services, businesses, etc are on FB and nowhere else.

I do hope that some day soon something takes off enough to tempt people away. Until then, I'm stuck with an account I don't really want.

@JetlagJen That's pretty much how I feel. I would like to ditch FB, but there are many things for which it is very useful. I may give Friendica a try and see what happens.
