Nothing quite illustrates the desperate need for proper civics education than a man with a policy platform of “stopping imaginary transgender immigrants eating your cats” being neck and neck to be US president.

What's even more odd is that some of the richest people on the planet are funding a weird crook & an anti-democracy GOP for public office. Permanently.

@Npars01 I take issue only with the word "permanently". I reckon the instant they got the Treasonous Orange Fuckgibbon 'elected', they'd declare him mentally incompetent and put their own patsy in place using the bits of your constitution that's useful to them.

@Npars01 With Citizens United justice John Roberts & his accomplices paved the way for political prostitution, corruption & money laundering of new shocking dimensions in political businesses, tailormade for purchasable figures like Trump.

@Npars01 Those oligarchs are *some people*, not ***the people***.

They know very well, that for big money Trump's anytime for sale, whatever their wishes may be, disregarding right & wrong.

Those few people shouldn't be able to override the will of the people & the Constitution's implications, regulations & intended order, holding that the sovereign of all governmental power is the people, not a couple of super-rich egomaniacal wannabe-aristocrats longing to be free from the "burden" of commonly accepted laws, rules, norms & values (not valuables).

A little civics education needed. A LOT of education needed on epistemology.

@maddad
Trump's name is already on ballots in some states.

Michigan is a key swing state.

Life is complicated and difficult. People are always going to give an ear to someone who promises to make it simple and fix their problems.

For that reason, fascism is never out of style.
