Project “Oui Oui Baguette” taking our boat, Scarlet, to France as the start of moving her to Portugal, on Monday.

Looks like we’ll be motoring for 14 hours. Not enough wind forecast to make the sails go.

Probably going to have to stop for the winter at La Rochelle, on account of the orcas currently making their way to Biscay for the winter, and I don’t want to die.
in reply to Sarah Brown

La Rochelle is nice. We sailed out of there for some time in Sarah Grace (Dad’s boat).

You're not going to float becalmed for days as tension slowly rises among the crew before someone gets thrown overboard to be eaten by a whale, at which point the wind mystreiously returns?
in reply to Adam

@Adam @kæt there have been attacks as far north as the Scilly Isles, but later in the year.

@pseudomonas A large yacht seems to have set fire to Greece with fireworks today, so I'd steer clear of any wooden seahorses, too.

You're not tempted to sacrifice one of your crew to the deep, just to keep up nautical tradition?
in reply to kæt

@kæt no. I’m quite fond of them.

Ah now there's your problem. Would never make it in the navy with that kind of attitude, 😄 .
