For some boiler faucet I regularly took a porcellain mug with water, boiled it in the microwave, added citric acid until it didn't dissolve anymore, and dropped the unscrewed faucet into it. Took next to no time. Same with electric kettles. Just use enough citric acid and HEAT...
@Wilfried Klaebe Put water in kettle. Pour in hydrochloric. Add no heat. Pour out hydrochloric. Kettle is descaled. No residual taste. Entire process: 15 seconds.
