Well now I'm going to have to reconsider the old advice for what to do if life gives me lemons. Though to be honest, I'd always suspected that I'd make limoncello anyway.

This meme annoys me a bit because the "advanced" version is still a simplistic lie that cis people tell themselves about us.

Sex and gender are, in fact, merely two aspects of the same thing and where we draw the line is entirely socially constructed.

In that way, sex does, in fact, equal gender.

Trans women are women.

Trans men are men.

Non binary people are non binary.

Stop trying to introduce extra variables which aren't needed.

I am a trans woman. I am female. That is my sex.

That's it. That's all of it.

Whatโ€™s with the UK motorway speed limit being 113? Youโ€™d have thought that theyโ€™d have picked a round number.
in reply to Sarah Brown

Hey did you know that Iberian rail gauge is what it is because Portugal used 5 Portuguese feet for their gauge and Spain 6 Castilian feet for their gauge and the are so damn close that splitting the difference wouldnโ€™t have a detrimental affect on rolling stock for either. And so its officially 1668mm!

Why is the Starmer government insisting on being the warm up act to Prime Minister Farage?

I donโ€™t get it. They seem to be doing it on purpose.

in reply to Sarah Brown

All these neoliberal politicians know what their oligarch masters want, and it's been agreed informally, behind the scenes, that Farage will take the reigns in the UK after this shambles of a Labour government

Starmer is a cardboard cutout of a mediocre Conservative backbencher.

Yes, I read the nine points DeepSeek provided as an answer, and could not fault any of them with the exception of using arbitrary biological values to divide people taking part in sport into categories, which is inclusive if the categories are well chosen. The 'Categories' section of the Wikipedia article 'Sport of athletics', en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sport_ofโ€ฆ describes the main difficulties of creating categories in that sport.

This was, however, the only weakness I found in DeepSeek's reply.

This is what youโ€™re attacking.

The fuck why?

in reply to Sarah Brown

I am CIS but I cannot understand this illogical trans hatred. I guess it is like racism and hate a minority to stir the rabble but totally utterly baseless. I wouldnโ€™t have known you were trans without you telling me. Makes no difference, two happy women enjoying themselves

Because they have nothing positive to offer, so they try to destroy.

Silo safe to read if youโ€™ve seen S02E10

Ok, being deliberately vague here.

Congressman Donald!

Helen!

And โ€ฆ the book never specified which silo she ended up in, but itโ€™s obvious now from that little artefact reveal that itโ€™s 18.

Simmsโ€™ wife โ€ฆ can stay in the vault. Sheโ€™s โ€ฆ oh shit!

Thatโ€™s REALLY clever. I wonder if thatโ€™s Howey kicking himself for not doing that in the first place?

So S3 is Shift, and I guess we donโ€™t return to 18 until the start of S4, or once enough of Shift has happened to make it into dramatic irony (I.e. the audience knows the secret but the characters donโ€™t).

I fricking LOVE them putting Helen in 18. Love it!

@Natasha Jay ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ So Shift never says which silo Helen went into. Only that it wasn't silo 1, and Donald kinda took that badly.

Putting her into 18 and having her have descendants in there is genius.
